I apologize in advance for the silence on the blog. We started our first week of medical school, and the professors did not hold back! I'm still trying to buy essentials for my room while managing my time and studying, and frankly I'm not doing a very good job. Managing is the key word here and I have to get into a good pattern - a good system - in order for me to feel like I'm doing well. Anybody else like that? We are creatures of habit after all.
So while I try to figure all of that, here are pictures (as in picture overload!) of all the delicious treats I've eaten over the summer while I still had the chance to enjoy the good ol' US of A :) The pictures do not do justice to how good these actually tasted. Cue the drooling please!
LE PAIN QUOTIDIAN (BETHESDA, MD)
BISTRO DU COIN (DC)
INOVA - Treats from coworkers as a fairwell
HOMEMADE MARGARITAS (Middle of nowhere cabin in Northern Virginia)
YEKTAH RESTAURANT (ROCKVILLE, MD)
HOMEMADE CHICKEN AND VEGGIE TOMATO SAUCE (My house)
MISSION DUPONT (DC)
THE SHARK ON THE HARBOR RESTAURANT (OCEAN CITY, MD)
FILOMENA RISTORANTE (DC)
AN LOI VIETNAMESE RESTAURANT (COLUMBIA, MD)
Where have you been lately? Any tastey treats I should be aware of? Next time I'll show you what I've been eating in the UK so far. They are known for their pastry meals, which makes me wonder... how many other ways can you make a plate out of pastry and meat?
